"Star is still doing well. She greets me every day when I come in the door. If I don't let her out immediately she hollers for me to let her out. I am not going to start a cycle of allowing her to scream at me to get her way. After she has been quite for 15 minutes or so I walk back into the kitchen and let her out. I do need a play station for her to play on. She wants to do more than play in my lap or hold onto my fingers. I hope to get to the pet store this weekend to seach for something she can play with or on. She continues to make her own place in my heart. She has the sweetest voice and loves to be called "SuperStar". She always cocks her head to one side and looks at me when I say it. She loves to hear Tucker ring her bell. She has a much smaller version in her cage and she tries to ring hers too."
Lori Says:
"Me and Salsa are wonderful Rita!!!! He is my boy and my heart! There is not one bird that could EVER take his place. He is really starting to jabber alot. He is now trying to say Daddys home... Thank you for my baby I am so in love with him, I am always telling him he smells like a fruit filled doughnut and I just want to eat him up."
Brit Says:
"I just wanted to let you know that Oliver is doing great! He went to the vet today where he received a clean bill of health and was even referred to as 'fat and sassy'! There were many rave reviews to the raising of said bird by the breeder... you go girl! The vet loved the sprouting mix and fresh food diet (he mentioned that avocados were only really a no-no for budgies... but I still wont chance it) and said to skip the seed all together because my bird is 'perfect' and all the empty calories and high fat would be a shameful thing to feed him! Instead he said if I want to supplement a 'seed-like' food in with the sprouts and freshness to feed him the Lafeber's Avi-Cakes (he gave us some samples) or pellets... something with a little more nutrients. "
Dena Says:
"Here's pictures of Pongo ... he's doing great!! Tomorrow morning we're off to the vet for his check-up. I'll let you know all the particulars. Last night we fell asleep on my shoulder nestled under my hair. it was so cute hearing little chirps out of him while he was sleeping. He seems to be doing quite well in the large cage, he's being a little acrobat. Last night he slept in the smaller cage upstairs. Seems to like that cage too. Yes, he is going to be a very spoiled bird."
Megan Says:
"Fiji is doing great, she’s so funny and has such a little personality. Thanks again for helping us get her! I’ll let you know if we run into any problems or have questions but I think we’ll definitely be calling you for a wing clipping before we head to North Carolina in January. "
Dena Says:
"Just wanted to send you a couple of pictures (a few days late) of Pongo on his 1st birthday! It’s hard to believe he’s a year old. He is such the character and starting to talk. He says hello like a little china man … hello is herro. At night when he’s being covered up he grumbles and mumbles nite, nite pong pong. He has screaming down to a tee. We've been throwing around the idea of getting Pongo a buddy to hang out with. Not sure if we want to go with a Conure, an Amazon or an African Grey. Not sure if we want to move up in size or not. Any suggestions or recommendations?? Pongo will always be king of the roost. Oh the decisions! LOL! "
Ingrid Says:
"Robby is such a pleasure!!! He did hop right out of the carrier for me and went under my chin to snuggle. He even sat on my 16 yr old nephew's finger. He is now Troy's favorite bird. He also flew to my shoulder. He seems to enjoy my other conures presence. They all talk and the Patties have a knack for manipulating the other birds. Robby seems relaxed and enjoying his big adventure to CT. He is definitely not a nervous bird. All that TLC is paying off!!! Thank you so much for the video of his parents. I can see were he gets his good looks from!"
Cindy Says:
"Must admit, I got up at 4:00, did some emailing, then quietly slipped in to check on Nacho. He was sleeping way at the top corner of his cage, on top of a small hanging toy, crammed into the top of the cage. When I came close to the cage, he saw me and started wiggling around to un-cram himself. Confession time....I stuck my hand in and helped him and he came out of the cage to be with me. So I sat in my swivel chair and tucked Nacho under my chin and I think he was asleep again before his head hit the pillow (my neck.) I let him stay that way for a few minutes, but I was afraid I would fall asleep and hurt him (or fall out of my chair) so I put him back on a nice perch and left."
Nick and Carol say:
"Sugar arrived safely and looks great! As you can see by the picture attached. She seems to like her roommate. I just want to thank you for the extra goodies that you included with her. She seems to be happy in her new home. "
